Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Tom Nunlist graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2010. As a journalist with diverse interests, Tom has written about life in rural Tibet, China’s changing urbanization strategy, drug use among professional truck drivers and much more. He is the winner of a Bronze Azbee award for feature writing, and a first-place award for feature writing in the AEJMC Magazine Writing contest for student journalists.

Tom is currently living in Shanghai, China, pursuing a master’s degree in modern Chinese history at East China Normal University, and generally getting himself into messes.
